Piplup - Mini Pokemon Plush

I really fancied making another Pokémon plush. This time, I decided to craft my first ever Water-type starter, Piplup! It was a toss-up between sewing either him or Marill. As fate would have it, my roughly sketched pattern of Marill looked completely diabolical! XD In contrast, Piplup's design is comprised of several easy-to-cut-out shapes. Plus, there were (mercifully) only five colours of felt involved in the entire process. As such, it was a lovely little stitching project to do. It only took me an evening or two to complete, and just looking at him cheers me up!

I especially like how the main body turned out, since the light blue felt I used was such good quality. It looks wonderfully thick and fluffy in real life. Although it isn't visible in the picture, I even managed to stitch him a hood and tail without as much difficulty as I'd anticipated. All in all, I very much enjoyed creating him!

I'm considering making a couple of these mini PokéPlushies, now that I have some time to spare. Maybe one of each type, if that's not too ambitious? That's Water, Grass and Ghost covered so far!

This Piplup is made from felt and is roughly 12 cm tall.
